Week 15 Portfolio

Refer to the beginning of this course, I was confused with everything about this course. Although this course is familiar to DECO1100 the course I took in last semester, it is not an easy for me to do. There were lots of new challenges and coding compared with DECO1100. On the other hand, it is easy to design an excellent and beautiful product. However, if I need to make the product in real life, it was terrible and lots of problem-solving. It is difficult to work individually for this course. Therefore, I met friends to work together in the project.
In the first week, I grouped with my teammates and generated many ideas for the main concepts in WW1 topic. For example, interactive games to lead the user knows WW1, interactive newspaper to describe the WW1 or a map with details about WW1 battles. There were many ideas we pop out. However, coding was the challenging part of our group to do.
Since we started the product which was a website, the API coding that linking to the WW1 database was delayed our website process. Sometime the coding could work without any error, this was the most struggling part we had in this project.
In the designing part, lecturer described lots of knowledge about how to design a website which attract the customer. For instance, most of the users would like to be simple and clean. Using white space was one of the structure to make. In addition, discover the web design trends was also significant to know the users demand. I didnt expect there were many designs that I can make, the design trends helped me to learn more about designing. Moreover, those knowledge improved my coding skills.

At last, I designed the portfolio for the last assessment. I completed the portfolio, which I satisfied with it. However, the difficulty of coding struggled me a lot of time. Error always came out when I think the coding is completely functional. But I fixed most of the problems. This is what I satisfied for my portfolio.
