Week 5 Pitch

In the pitch, I think our team did well and presented the information of our project. We provided 2 kind of pictures which are the poster and the website details. Firstly, the poster showed the information of World War II and some pictures. Secondly, the website details described the five-user’s interaction, these are help the user to understand how’s the website is working. On the other hand, we presented our project within 3 minutes, it was a good presentation.
Unfortunately, we got lots of feedback from the audience which are improvements. We had missed some of the information that we didn’t expect before the pitch, such as the poster provided lack of details, similarity, where the detail come from, etc. Those problems we should solve immediately before the next problems come out. Therefore, it was a great opportunity to improve and correct.
I think compared to other concepts, I admitted that other concepts had more creative and details information. We did well in the design proposal, but the details we need weren’t enough and a lot of mistakes. Those improvements came from the audience. Although our team put full efforts to complete, it seems we underestimate the difficulty and problem severity. I will rate this concept is properly good, but need to include creativity and details.
Finally, I heard other two concepts in my class. One of the concept is about the Australia mining. It was a great idea to spread the knowledge of mining industry. Their team provided variety of details to attract different ages. However, their poster put too many details to describe it. Also, the other concept was talking about Australia culture. They balanced the time and presentation in the pitch. Also, they provided where they will collect the data from the internet and considered what the user would think about their concepts.

In the Mid-Semester holiday period, we decided to improve our own working for the project. For me, our team discussed that the background and structure should be same as every teammate. I was trying to make the structure as similar as my teammate (See Photo 1 below). Before I changed, my working was generated the words immediately with old style words. After my thinking and redesign, I will make it easier to read. Therefore, people can understand the website was created with same style structure. However, I ’ m harassing about the coding and style which can make the structure be same as my teammates. It is because there are many HTML, CSS and JavaScript code which is difficult to run and code. Without the internet, it is more rigorous to make it. But I will try to achieve what I have done now and finish it before the next contact class. In the whole teamwork, I think we are still on track for the final deadline. Week 14 Portfolio

In the last 2 weeks before the submission, I produced a website to describe my portfolio. The design was simple but well-functioning. Firstly, the website included a panel which can let the user to navigate to each section of the title. In addition, I put a JavaScript plugin that can make the words display when the user scrolls down to every section, it can show the user what section is he/she reading. Secondly, the website automatically resizes the page when the user makes the browser either smaller or bigger (Figure 1). The panel will hide to the left side and show a button at the left-top. Therefore, the user can read comfortably without any functional problems. Thirdly, I created a button for the starting section (Figure 2). Week 7 Scoping

In the previous contact class, our team decided to create a basic functionality of soldier search to be our MVP of the project. It is a dataset system which can let the user find out more information of World War II soldiers and linked with the database. As the soldier search has enough features, it can easily to satisfy the customers and provide the latest feedback for our future project development. We were thinking about soldier search can be the basic structure for the customer to use and understand our project system, instead of choosing other milestones. It is simple and safety to provide a fastest and temporary website to show the customers. Also, we will try to make the other milestones before the deadlines.
