Week 4 Design Proposal

In this design proposal of Project A, we separated different works in our concept, ‘War Museum’. Poster and pitches are the major part that one of my teammates and I need to finish before the next meeting. As the design proposal will affect our future project thinking, it is significant to have an early meeting and discuss about the proposal. Quality and detail are long-term planning to make our project clear and easy to express our concepts.
Our teammates also did great in this design proposal. Afra is responsible for the scope of ‘War Museum’. Luke needs to prepare the background inspiration and research. Finally, Emma is working on the design concept. Especially Emma did lots of information research for us. Those really help us a lot to generate new ideas.
I feel amused that I have these teammates which everyone, glad to do their work seriously. We have good communication and cooperation in this moment. I hope those attitudes can continue until we finish our project. Teamwork is important to complete the job easily, I can realise this attitude also can keep going and improve the works together to make the project getting better.
One of the purpose of this project is that this kind of ‘War Museum’ can attract children or teens to realise the disadvantages of war and find out how World War 1 started and ended. Therefore, the views can spread to every generation and avoid history happen again. In addition, we want to create an interesting and interactive way to let them learn about World War 1 history. It is convenient for children or teens to use the application, however it may appear lacking information. But it is possible to fix it frequently.

In the Mid-Semester holiday period, we decided to improve our own working for the project. For me, our team discussed that the background and structure should be same as every teammate. I was trying to make the structure as similar as my teammate (See Photo 1 below). Before I changed, my working was generated the words immediately with old style words. After my thinking and redesign, I will make it easier to read. Therefore, people can understand the website was created with same style structure. However, I ’ m harassing about the coding and style which can make the structure be same as my teammates. It is because there are many HTML, CSS and JavaScript code which is difficult to run and code. Without the internet, it is more rigorous to make it. Week 14 Portfolio

In the last 2 weeks before the submission, I produced a website to describe my portfolio. The design was simple but well-functioning. Firstly, the website included a panel which can let the user to navigate to each section of the title. In addition, I put a JavaScript plugin that can make the words display when the user scrolls down to every section, it can show the user what section is he/she reading. Secondly, the website automatically resizes the page when the user makes the browser either smaller or bigger (Figure 1). The panel will hide to the left side and show a button at the left-top. Therefore, the user can read comfortably without any functional problems. Thirdly, I created a button for the starting section (Figure 2). Week 7 Scoping

In the previous contact class, our team decided to create a basic functionality of soldier search to be our MVP of the project. It is a dataset system which can let the user find out more information of World War II soldiers and linked with the database. As the soldier search has enough features, it can easily to satisfy the customers and provide the latest feedback for our future project development. We were thinking about soldier search can be the basic structure for the customer to use and understand our project system, instead of choosing other milestones. It is simple and safety to provide a fastest and temporary website to show the customers. Also, we will try to make the other milestones before the deadlines.
