After a discussion with our teachers and feedback from other team, we considered to fully change our website structures and designs. This decision was decided since Week 8. And now, our website is working in progress and getting on track after that. We produced a temporary website, linked to our pages and the database with the API. Therefore, this result was expected. However, we do have lots of coding needs to change and improve fluency. It is because the basic website has been just for showing the users how our website working, but it cannot satisfy the user’s demand. In Major Project Part C, we will work early and completely as soon as possible. In a week 9 presentation, we received a variety of feedback and comments. One of the responders thought that we should manage the navigation and function in the future work. This week contact class, our team continued to process the Major Project Part B. We decided to change part of the concept on the website. Emma needs to finish the Memoriam and Base page. Kelvin will create the Photographs. Afra will design the Portraits. Luke will make the Newspaper Snippets. Finally, I will design interactive diary entry generator which can make the word automatically appear one by one. It randomly picks from a pool of diary entries. Our jobs need to finish before 22 of September.             On the other hand, next week we have to present our Part B. We did the basic website. The next process is trying to access the data and link together with the API.

In the previous contact class, our team decided to create a basic functionality of soldier search to be our MVP of the project. It is a dataset system which can let the user find out more information of World War II soldiers and linked with the database. As the soldier search has enough features, it can easily to satisfy the customers and provide the latest feedback for our future project development. We were thinking about soldier search can be the basic structure for the customer to use and understand our project system, instead of choosing other milestones. It is simple and safety to provide a fastest and temporary website to show the customers. Also, we will try to make the other milestones before the deadlines. In the contact class, we got lots of feedback from another team. Those feedbacks were critical for us to improve our project, such as the similarity and part of the structure were not convenient for the users. On the other hand, we wrote down all the feedbacks into one of our teammate’s notebook. However, we decided to use phone record, but wrote on the site is better to listen again and again. The prototype we made was used by our drawing. Obviously, it is difficult to show all the detail from our drawing. However, paper prototype is a technique to explore the concepts, problem and make quick adjustments to the prototype. Therefore, it can show what the problems we got from the project. By testing our people’s prototype, it is easy to add and improve some information on our project, such as make the description under the pictures.
